Old-Fashioned Fruit Cobblerold-fashioned cobbler



  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
  • Beat egg, sugar, butter and milk.
  • Mix together flour, baking powder and salt. Beat into egg mixture. Set aside.
  • In another bowl, combine fruit, nutmeg and cinnamon. Turn into a greased 12x8x2 baking dish.
  • Top with batter, spreading smoothly.
  • Bake for 25 - 30 minutes or until crust is crisp and golden brown.
Note: If using cherries, omit nutmeg and cinnamon and substitute 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
