Wormwood Alpine
This bitter herb is most widely known as the flavoring for absinthe.
Native to Europe, wormwood was called absintium by the Romans, which means 'bitter'.
In addition to being the flavoring for the infamous liqueur absinthe, wormwood is used for various purposes, including as an insect repellent and to soothe and aide digestion.
