Chamomile Flowers
Fruity and aromatic, chamomile tea has been used for years as a calming aid.
Chamomile, a member of the daisy family, is native to Europe and western Asia. It grows freely everywhere and is primarily consumed as a tea. Chamomile tea has been around for thousands of years and is used to help with conditions such as restlessness and minor aches. The tea is effectively used to promote relaxation and alleviate stress. Chamomile is best known for its ability to help with sleep and is often served with either honey or lemon.
Chamomile has mild calming when consumed as a tea. It has been known to reduce stress and help aid sleep. To drink, steep one heaping teaspoon per eight–ounces of water. Measure your chamomile tea leaves and place them in your teapot. Pour the water over your chamomile tea leaves. Allow the just–boiled water to cool slightly before pouring it over the tea leaves, as chamomile tea performs better when brewed with hot water, rather than boiling water.
