Baked Apples


fresh apples

  • 6 - large Apples
  • 1/2 cup - Raisins
  • 1/2 cup - eSutras Walnut Halves, chopped
  • 4 Tablespoons - Butter or Margarine, melted
  • 1/2 cup - eSutras Jaggery or a Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons - Lemon Juice
  • Water


  1. Wash and core apples.
  2. Arrange in baking dish.
  3. Mix together raisins and walnuts and pack into the apple centers.
  4. Combine butter, brown sugar and lemon juice; pour into apples.
  5. Add 1 1/4 cups water to baking dish.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until apples are tender.
  7. Spoon juices from pan onto apples 2-3 times while baking.
