Cincinnati style chili differs from other regional chilis in that the flavors of cloves, cinnamon, and allspice, which are not a common ingredient in most chilis. Including ground cloves and cinnamon adds a different kind of hot flavor than regular pepper, making more versatile and loaded with flavor.
