Walnut and Date Bars

Walnuts and dates




  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  • Grease a 9x9 baking dish
  • Combine walnuts and dates, sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of flour. Mix until coated.
  • To remaining flour, add salt, cinammon, brown sugar, shortening, egg milk and vanilla. Beat until fluffy.
  • Stir in walnuts and dates.
  • Spread mixture in pan.
  • Bake in the oven for 30 minutes.
  • Dust with powdered sugar.
